The Genesis Group is a multi-stake activities group in the Utah Area, encouraging and supporting Black Latter-day Saints, their families, and their friends in building their faith in Jesus Christ, fostering unity, and strengthening membership in His restored Church. All Genesis meetings and activities are intended to help members more fully participate in their home wards and stakes.
The group meets under the direction of a of host stake president, President John R. Taylor of Draper Mountain Point Stake, with Elder David Frischknecht as the assigned liaison from the Seventy.
The group meets the first Sunday of every month at the Sandy Crescent South Stake center, 275 E 10600 S Sandy, Ut from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. This meeting is broadcast via zoom to members who cannot attend in person. The zoom link and meeting announcements can be found on the group’s Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/groups/ldsgenesisgroup)
This is accomplished through monthly devotionals, needs-based activities, and other opportunities for gospel friendship and fellowship.
